The article discusses computational homogenization of masonry samples for a purpose of a non-linear computational analysis of masonry structures. The proposed method includes a detailed smeared crack model of a masonry sample (with individually modeled bricks and mortar) and a homogenized elasto-plastic Chen-Chen based material model. The computational homogenization is done through comparison of results of remodeling simple material tests. The data for homogenized material models are obtained from preliminary computations on these models for simple material tests. The improvement of material data is done through Monte Carlo – based testing of possible homogenized material parameters.
