The questions of influence of a velocity model and accuracy of P-wave first arrival times on the seismoacoustic events foci localization are analyzed. It was found out that the velocity model can be approximated by a triaxial ellipsoid. Current velocity ellipsoid results from measured ultrasonic sounding data. The accuracy of automatic picking of P-wave first arrivals performed by Vallen software and by method of moment picker is discussed. New localization approaches were tested and applied for testing on migmatite samples.
