During rehabilitation of wet masonry, intervention into floor structures often occurs. The article deals with possibility of floor structure designing with thermal insulation laid directly
on soil. The issue of building and physical design and assessment of floor air cavities that is commonly applied in rehabilitation of wet masonry mainly with historical buildings is described. In the article the issue of reconstruction of current floor air cavities is mentioned.
