Procedure of generating synthetic seismic acceleration-time histories using seismic source response spectra has been designed. The conditions for achieving a satisfactory coincidence of the reversely generated spectrum with the source response spectrum have been investigated. The conformity of the synthetic seismic acceleration-time history with its source seismic motion record has been analyzed. The designed procedure has been tested by comparing structural responses computed using response spectra with responses obtained by applying corresponding synthetic seismic acceleration-time histories.
