Preliminary tests were performed to evaluate the electrical resistivity of soils occurred near industrial waste stockpile. The electrical resistivity of waste and soils was examinated with field geoelectrical measurements. Electrical resistivity of soil varied depending on distance from the landfill. The values varied from 2300 Ohm metre for soil close to waste stockpile to 10000 Ohm metre for uncontaminated soil. The electrical resistivity of waste varied from 10 Ohm metre to 900 Ohm metre. Further studies and measurements will be continued on soils contaminated with post-mining waste.
