The paper deals with the response of a guyed mast to the seismic action. It discusses the question of load direction with respect to the structure and the influence of the LR-wave velocity of propagation in the subsoil is examined. A numeric example is presented to illustrate the evaluation of response for three characteristic load directions and two velocities of propagation. There are presented some interesting calculated deflections, internal forces and stresses in the end of the paper.
