In connection with the solution of the project WD-05-07-3 of the Ministry of Regional Development of the Czech Republic for research of regional disparities in the area of ​​financial and physical affordability of housing, there was a need to streamline work with a significant amount of data and solve the issue of presenting project results. The procedure of processing tabular data into graphical form and performing analyzes seemed to be a routine matter in the number of required outputs, and presenting the results in electronic interactive form is more efficient than presenting the printed results, the amount of which would be enormous. The use of computer technology has become an essential part and tool of the research team.
At the workplace of the VSB - Technical University of Ostrava, Faculty of Civil Engineering, a software tool for data management and analysis and for the creation of work and final outputs was created over time. The tool, named Disparitér, became a software utility for processing, analysis and presentation of the final graphic outputs of the project not only for professionals but also for the general public.
