Housing plays an important social and economic role due to its existential nature. Housing can be considered an important factor that contributes to the reduction of regional development disparities in conditions of smooth (not jump) development (eg more spacious living in symbiosis with the landscape partially compensates for shortcomings in less developed areas associated with more difficult availability and quality of civic amenities).
The main subject of the project of the Ministry of Regional Development of the Czech Republic WD-05-07-3 is housing affordability and regional disparities in housing affordability, potential consequences of housing affordability development and development of these disparities, and specific measures to increase housing affordability, reduce regional disparities in housing affordability, and thereby reducing the negative socio-economic consequences of low housing affordability and / or high regional disparities in housing affordability. In the first phase of the project, they are subject to regional disparities between all regions of the Czech Republic (NUTS 3 regions).
