Microgravity survey for historical mining shaft Vilemina was carried out in the Eastern Bohemia at Lukavice village. Pyrite mining at locality was in progress from the beginning of 17th century until the end of 19th century. The shaft Vilemina established between years 1760 – 1770 had original depth of 24 m, later was extended to 66 m. From the year 1808 shaft served as drainage well for Lukavice pyrite mines. The mine waters were conducted by narrow 1.5 km long drainage tunnel to Chrudimka river. The depth of tunnel in Lukavice was 23 m. The approximate position of Vilemina shaft is known from historical maps, pictures and photographs. Nonetheless, exact present position of filled shaft was vague. The aim of gravity survey was to locate historical shaft, which supposed position is in the immediate vicinity of the road with heavy traffic. Results of gravity measurements show oblong shaped local negative anomaly at the southern part of measured area. Gravity modeling across the anomaly indicates that the source of the anomaly could be historical shaft with the pit for water wheel next to shaft.
