After flood events in the Czech Republic in 1997 and 2002, geophysical investigation was appplied to a large extent in assessing damage caused by floods. Geophysical investigation was conducted on the basis of requirements made by particular object administrators. Based on these works, a project The preparation of a complex… was prepared, having aimed to prepare and improve the methodology of the geophysical works which would be applicable in the future in potential post-flood works. The realization of this project proceeds with the support granted by the Ministry of Education, Youth and Physical Training. It is scheduled for the period between 2006 and 2010. Significant part of this project is formed by cooperation with a Russian company Geologorazvedka Moskva, which is involved in the geophysical investigation itself and also in the development of their own geophysical apparatuses.
