The impact of blasting operations is accompanied by positive and also negative after-effects. Vibrations, activated by explosion, help to disturb the rocks what represents a positive effect on one hand and endanger surrounding buildings and other properties on the other hand as a negative effect. Velocity of propagation of seismic waves and their attenuation is dependent not only on source of vibration but also on rock environment where the waves propagate. Deformation of solid rock mass or lithological changes of the rock environment through which the waves pass can significantly change the effect on a receptor under identical conditions of vibration source. The article represents results of effect of rock environment deformation on seismic waves propagation during blasting operations.
