In the middle of the last year (July 2008), well logging acoustic probe FWS50 with registration of full wave image was acquired by our company. This system is product of Advanced Logic Technology (ALT) Company – Redange (Luxembourg). The surface registration unit named „Matrix“ is compatible with well logging probes produced by Mount Sopris USA and ALT Luxembourg companies. The software (programme WellCad) enables calculation of geomechanical properties of rocks. Source data are acquired by means of well logging measurements (full wave acoustic log, calliper log density log). The first results of well logging measurements with probe FWS50 in the different types of rocks are demonstrated in following paper.
